What we do best at HealthBridge – maintain the highest standards of safety, care and services for our residents, their families, and our valued employees. Both in the days leading up to the strike and since the union directed its members to walk out of our facilities – abandoning the negotiations, their jobs, and our residents – we have taken steps to ensure that our facilities continue to run smoothly and that the needs of our residents are fully met.
HealthBridge has had 80 union members cross the picket line and moved swiftly and successfully to bring in 730 new permanent staff members following the strike walk out. Residents and families alike have repeatedly expressed a strong sense of realism about the economic circumstances that partially led to this situation and we are very appreciative of their support and understanding.
